Scott C. Braley, MD, FACS

Dr. Braley is a native of the Rocky Mountains. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University at Fort Collins with a degree in psychology. After receiving his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, he completed an internship and a surgical residency at the University of California at Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

Having become enamored with California during his training, he has practiced general surgery in Roseville since 2003, where he has been a member of the active staff of Sutter Roseville Medical Center and has held multiple medical staff offices. He is a member of the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, Sacramento Surgical Society, and Placer-Nevada County Medical Society. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr Braley's interests include skiing, travel, and music. He plays piano, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele.

He and his wife Amy have been married since 1996 and have three children.

Jack D. Friedlander, MD

Dr. Friedlander is a citizen of the Northern Hemisphere. He was born in New York and raised in the Midwest and in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He obtained a degree in microbiology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his doctorate in medicine from the Chicago Medical School, where his scholastic achievements were rewarded with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

He completed an internship at Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and a surgical residency at Rush University Medical Center/Cook County Hospital, also in Chicago.

Having lived in San Francisco, in 2006 he returned to Northern California and began the private practice of general surgery in Roseville, where he has been a member of the active staff of Sutter Roseville Medical Center. He has served on multiple staff committees and is a member of the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association, the Placer-Nevada Medical Society, the Chicago Medical Society and the Illinois State Medical Society.

Dr. Friedlander enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, softball, and physical fitness.

He and his wife Cindy have been married since 2003 and have two children.

Rolf N. Gulbrandson, MD

Dr. Gulbrandson is a product of California. He was born in San Diego, raised in Santa Barbara, graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a degree in biology and received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Southern California at Irvine Medical School. He completed an internship at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles Medical Center and a surgical residency at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

Following a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, he returned to California in 1978. He has since been in private practice of general surgery in Roseville, where he has been a member of the active staff of Roseville Community Hospital, which subsequently became Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Mercy San Juan Hospital. He has held innumerable medical staff offices, including Chief of Surgery. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the California Medical Association, the Sacramento Surgical Society, the Placer-Nevada County Medical Society, and the International College of Surgeons.

Dr. Gulbrandson is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing, hunting, and skiing. He has served as the Physician Advisor and Health and Safety Officer to the Boy Scouts of America, Golden Empire Council since 1988. His hobbies include steam-era model trains, American history, and vintage automobiles.

He and his wife Amy have been married since 1976 and have three children.

Alan G. McNabb, MD, FACS

Dr. McNabb was born in Paisley, Scotland and raised in Los Angeles, California. After obtaining a degree in chemistry from Chapman University, he entered the United States Air Force and received his doctorate in medicine from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Following an internship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, he served as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at the Yokota and McClellan Air Force Bases in Japan and California.

He completed a surgical residency at Travis and became a staff surgeon at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico, simultaneously acting as an Associate Professor of Surgery for the trauma service at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque.

Since 2000, he has been in the practice of general surgery in Roseville, where he has been a member of the staff of Sutter Roseville Medical Center. He has held multiple staff offices, including Chief of Surgery. He is a member of the California Medical Association and the Placer-Nevada County Medical Society. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. McNabb enjoys outdoor sports, particularly soccer, tennis, and mountain biking. His hobbies include vintage British automobiles and woodworking.

He and his wife Cheryl have been married since 1986 and have two children.

Stacia Souter, FNP-C

Stacia is a native of California. She was born in Southern California, but has spent most of her adult life in Northern California. Stacia graduated from nursing school at the age of 21 from Shasta College in Redding. She worked in many areas of nursing including: surgical, medical, ICU/CCU, PACU, oncology, cardiovascular, gastroenterology, outpatient surgery, and pain management. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1999 from California State University, Dominguez Hills, her physician assistant and nurse practitioner certificates from University of California Davis in 2006, and her Masters degree in Nursing from Sacramento State University in 2008.

She was trained in family medicine with an emphasis in womens health. She has spent the last five years working in medical bariatric medicine. Recently she received special training in women's breast health at UCD and is following our patients who need closer observation with their breast health. Stacia is also trained to do genetic testing for people who might be at higher risk for genetically related breast cancer, colon cancer, and melanoma cancer.

She is married and has two grown sons. She enjoys scuba diving, snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, camping, and abalone diving on the North Coast. She has been on medical missions to Mexico and Guatemala and is currently volunteering with two different groups in our community.

Conni Edwards, RN

13 years operating room experience, multi-specialty inpatient and ambulatory over 4 years experience in ambulatory surgery center administration.
